Reports from world events showing that the old prophecies are entering before our eyes. Newest first.
Much is claimed about the Third World War and little is documented. This page therefore takes the opposite route: it collects no predictions but reports — verifiable news from world events, each with a date and a source, each linked. Anyone wanting to know how near the described signs really are should be able to measure it against facts rather than moods.
The standard for that is set out on the other chapter pages. Alois Irlmaier named seven signs preceding the war: prosperity, falling away from faith, moral decay, immigration, inflation, revolution — and only then the assault from the east. In Matthew 24 the Bible names wars and rumours of wars, famines and earthquakes, but expressly as the beginning of the birth pangs and not as the end.
What follows should be read with corresponding caution. A report about a conflict in the Middle East, about Russian troop movements or about the situation around Taiwan proves nothing about a Third World War. It only shows whether a sign the tradition speaks of is currently visible. The interpretation is left to the reader — and the warning of Jesus applies here too: “See that you are not alarmed.”
